The Nosadella.due Association intends to boost the spread of contemporary art, with specific attention to home and foreign artworks, experimentation and visual arts research. The main purpose is to give life to a new reality in the current situation of local and national art. The idea is to create a residence for artists and critics where the youngest Italian and foreign artists would be offered a unique occasion to gain professional experience and build up their own network within the art world. This structure wants to help the mobility of culture and the development of local art potential. The Association relies on members who have operated in art for a long time as critics and curators of art exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Its attention is turned to the rising generation of Italian and international artists and critics, with the aim of offering them a meeting place as well as a stimulating experience. The residence was a private house situated in the old town centre of Bologna. In an area of about 250 m_ there are three rooms with workspaces, a wide common space, a kitchen and a dining room. According to the project three international artists can be invited for up to three months maximum to carry out a work and they are offered board and lodging, and a budget to produce their work. The selected artists then will work together with young artists from Bologna’s Arts Academy. In different occasions and important events such as ArteFiera and ArteLibro critics, curators and directors from foreign museums will be invited to stay in the residence and offer an insight into local art activities.
